Aditya & Shraddha paired up again for Karan Johar: 'OK Kanmani' remake

News has been out that Mani Ratnam's superhit Tamil film 'O Kadhal Kanmani' will be remade in Hindi, by his former assistant Shaad Ali. Following this filmmaker Karan Johar came on board to produce the remake.

Karan had announced on Twitter thus, "Honored to collaborate with Mani Ratnam on the recreation of his labour of love....directed by Shaad Ali....@DharmaMovies..cast coming up!"

'OK Kanmani' (as it is popularly called) became an instant hit, especially among young audience. The mushy romance featured Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salman and Mene as Adhi and Tara respectively. The story highlighted contemporary take on live-in relationship. It also featured Prakash Raj in pivotal role.

Now latest buzz is that the hit 'Aashiqui 2' pair Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor have been roped in to play the lead in the remake. On the other hand, Gulzar and AR Rahman (who did the original) will be associated with the remake. "Mani Ratnam...Gulzarsaab...AR Rahman...Shaad and us present ADITYA ROY KAPUR and SHRADDHA KAPOOR in the official recreation of #okkanmani," revealed KJo via Twitter.
