Piracy is a long standing issue that has been wrecking havoc to the box office fortunes of many Tamil films over the years. The film industry is trying its best to eradicate piracy of new Tamil films but nothing has brought a long lasting solution. Actor Vishal has been personally involved in this struggle for many years and he has been responsible for the arrest of many piracy mongers But till date piracy remains an issue that severely bothers the industry.

The latest shock is that pirated DVDs of the new Tamil film 'Ivan Thanthiran' released on Friday (june 30) was available in a shop in Adyar, located at the heart of Chennai city on the second day itself. The dvds of other newly released Tamil films such as 'Vanamagan' and 'AAA' were also available in the shop. An advocate named Sundarapandiaraja has unearthed this shocking truth by making a chance visit to the shop with his friends.

Much worse is that even the police who have to punish the culprits are allegedly hand in glove with the piracy mongers. Sundarapandiaraja in a video message reveals that even after making repeated calls to the Police after finding the pirated DVDs, no policeman has reached the spot and hence he is sharing this video message with the public through social media.
