After 'Barfi', its 'Delhi Safari' in Oscars race

Nikhil Advani's animated flick ‘Delhi Safari’ reported to have nominated for the 85th Academy Awards in the animation category. This comes as a double bonanza for B-town, after ‘Barfi’ made it into the prestigious award function.

A bilingual project, the Hindi version of ‘Delhi Safari’ features the voices of Akshaye Khanna, Govinda, Suniel Shetty, Boman Irani, and Urmila Matondkar while the English one has Jason Alexander, Cary Elwes, Christopher Lloyd, Jane Lynch, Vanessa Williams and Brad Garrett.

Cited to be India's first stereoscopic 3D animation feature film, ‘Delhi Safari’ revolves around four animals and a bird and their journey from Mumbai to Delhi to fight against forest encroachment. The film got released on 19th Oct 2012.
