The fruit of hard work reflects in its recognition, and what better way to appreciate than an award. The first thing that most of us would want to do on receiving an award is recording the moment, before we go on to brag about it. But Padma Shri - and now Padma Bhushan - Kamal Hassan is different in this respect too. He was awarded the prestigious Padma Bhushan in recognition of his dedication to entertainment, and the legendary actor has chosen to remain to himself at peace and humility. Dedicating all his success ever to the lessons he was tuted by his teachers and the support from his family and audience, Kamal said "Among glad I am recognized, while many talents just go unnoticed. I take the opportunity to thank my teachers and mentors, who were the ones that chose my path and sculpted my career.

I consider the recognition I get, the recognition for my fans as well." How does he feel about the whole thing? "I was in the same state of mind last year during 'Vishwaroopam' controversy, just as I was when I was young and unsure of whether I will become an actor. As for me, I am constantly hungry for progress. This might seem like the right time to sit down for a good volume of autobiography, but no, I am not that type. I feel that no one experiments with truth as such, and I may end up hurting many people, with my steadfast view points." Time is right to ask him the question that's been pressing every fan's mind: will he come to politics? "I go to the polling booth once every five years to get my index fingernail inked, and I feel that is connection enough with politics."
