Controversy loving director of national fame M.S.Sathyu at the media address of his come back film after 12 years ‘Ijjodu’ in Kannada says he is against to the reservation policy of this country. “Reservation system cannot guarantee the equality of social life as recommended by the Constitution of India”, he says firmly.

He has a script on the ‘Reservation system’ in India. Sathyu is waiting for the producer to take it up. For his silence of 12 long years from films he stated “There are no takers to my thoughts. Producers were not ready to spend money on my script kept at home. Now Reliance group has come forward I have made ‘Ijjodu’ that is not only on the ‘Devadasi’ system but also passes remarks on the rural and urban life. This subject I had in the mind from last three decades and it gained further strength when 1000 women were treated as sex workers in 2006. To this I have picked the works of two Jnanapeeth award winners – VK Gokak and Masthi Venkatesha Iyengar plus writer Ananda’s ‘Naanu Kondha Hudugi’ and gave my own interpretation in ‘Ijjodu’”, says Sathyu.

Drawing his attention at the audio release of his film songs on Tuesday afternoon in Bangalore, Sathyu said the visual media should not keep away the most integral part of Indian cinema – music away from films. Pointing to the style of making ‘Ijjodu’ he said the dubbing is done on the spot. “There is human emotion, songs, humor and dance in the film ‘Ijjodu’”, Sathyu mentioned.
