The hopes of fans in Tamil Nadu to see Aishwarya Rai yesterday came to a naught as the green-eyed beauty failed to put up a show at actor Prashanth's wedding reception last evening.
Aishwarya Rai was touted to be the main attraction of the evening's function. Aish had acted with Prashanth in Jeans and the duo share a good rapport.
Prashanth had also confirmed that he had indeed invited the beauty from Bollywood.
But as it happens, Aish couldn't make it to the reception as she was busy in a shoot in Europe. Instead, a cute message from her landed at the function.
Another person whose presence was absent was Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
But the rest of the political fraternity, including DMK chief M Karunanidhi, and others from the industry were at hand to wish the young couple last evening.
