Aishwarya's first comeback movie with Mani Ratnam

Although the renowned diva was absent from big screen, being off screen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made headlines with her new mommy avatar as well as by gracing special events.

Coming to her film career, talks are that she may soon sign the dotted lines for one of her special filmmakers Mani Ratnam.

Speculations are that Aishwarya, post her mom duties, will make her screen comeback with Ratnam’s next project which will be a film adaptation of famous 1938 novel Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier.

Aishwarya, who made her screen debut with Ratnam’s ‘Iruvar’, has also worked in his other films namely ‘Guru’ and ‘Raavan/Raavanan’. Owing to this, the former Miss World has high regard for the director and also respects his film offers.

Rebecca is revolves around a newly married woman who is constantly compared to the deceased first wife of her husband by the housekeeper.

In the end, the woman who was suffering because of this, later finds out that actually her husband had hated his first wife and had killed her.
