Ajay Devgn, who has lent his voice for ‘Makkhi’, fell in love with the original Telugu version ‘Eega’ the day he watched the promo of the film.

In fact, he had come to know about the film in an interesting way. "My film Bol Bachchan was doing well everywhere except in Hyderabad.

When I asked if there was any reason, I was told that Southern film Eega was playing in the theatres," he revealed in a media interview.

Rajamouli went to Ajay and asked him to watch ‘Makkhi’ before he dubbed for it. "He told me that I dub for the movie only if I liked it. But I found the film so fabulous.

The way it was made, it could not have been remade that way into Hindi," he remarked.

He also liked the fly-heroine romance a lot. "Had any director come to me and narrated the scene, I would have said, 'Shut up and get lost.' But Rajamouli executed it so lovably," Ajay said.

Ajay also praised Rajamouli’s Telugu movie ‘Maryada Ramanna’, whose Hindi remake, ‘Son of Sardaar’ is waiting for its release in November.
