For all his nervousness at the press conference after his win, Ajay Kumar Saroj showed no signs of fear as he won the men`s 1,500 metres.

He was behind Qatar`s Jamal Hairane at 800 metres, but soon over took him and even started celebrating 200 metres before the finish line. He still had reason to celebrate after he completed those 200 metres.

His coach JS Bhatia said he was proud of Saroj`s confidence and that fact that he had beat an Asian Games medal winner.
