Director Selva lost his wife on Sunday morning due to a massive heart attack and her last rites were conducted in the evening.

Selva introduced Ajith Kumar to Tamil films in Amaravathi` which became a great launch pad for the actor to reach the heights he is in today. He has also given a string of hits on Television like Neela Maala` and on the big screen Thalaivaasal`, Karnaa`, Pooveli`, James Pandu`, Unnarugey Naan Irundhaal` and Naan Avanillai` among others. We extend our deepest condolences to Selva and his family for the irreplaceable loss.
