The going is getting better and better for the Thala of Tamil film industry, what with his 50th film 'Mankatha' setting the rating at the box-office in Tamil Nadu on fire.

Now there is more news flowing in that producer AM Ratnam has approached the actor for doing a film. Reports suggest that the producer has confirmed that he is working in a project with Ajith, but does not want to reveal much before a formal announcement has been made.

Sources in the know reveal that the project is in the initial stages of talks and is touted to be flagged off towards the fag-end of 2011. There are also reports that Vishnu Varadhan will be directing this film. Let us remind you that Ajith had once revealed that he liked Vishnu Varadhan's working style and would like to be directed under him.
