Akshay Kumar is taking 2 months off to train in Traditional Combat Karate - a very lethal form of Karate for his role in 'Rowdy Rathore' also starring Sonakshi Sinha. The out-and-out action film presented by UTV will be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala and co-produced by designer Shabinaa Khan.

The "original action hero" is back with 'Rowdy Rathore' as Akshay Kumar along with the action director of the film take time out to study the traditional martial arts form that is popularly practiced in the underground sectors of South East Asia and can only be practiced by people who have great expertise and concentration.

If that wasn't all so impressed is the Bollywood superstar with the sport that he now plans to introduce Combat Karate in his Karate Academy next year.

After pioneering the biggest ever martial arts movement in the history of Indian Karate, Shihan Akshay Kumar now has bigger ambitions of introducing Combat Karate in the Invitational National Karate Championship 2012.

Informs a close hand, "Akshay Kumar is very passionate about the sport and believes that the introduction of new martial arts forms will only take the Championship to a greater height. The planning for its establishment is currently being discussed."

Set in the rustic heartland of India, 'Rowdy Rathore' directed by Prabhudeva is a larger than life film with never-seen-before action.
