B-town entertainer Akshay Kumar who rose to stardom with ‘Namaste London’ is now very much keen to make its sequel. Moreover the Khiladi star wants to make it more entertaining than the original.

The cocktail of inspirations like Manoj Kumar’s ‘Purab Aur Paschim’ and Salman-Ajay-Aishwarya’s ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ – ‘Namaste London’ brought Akki into the top brass of Bollywood from where he continued his winning streak. The movie also established Katrina Kaif into an actress to look out for as before that she was considered to be just a glam quotient.

We have news that Akshay who persuaded Vipul to go ahead with the film, is currently working on the script. The sequel will see the original characters going through matrimonial ups and downs which will provide drama and humour in the storyline.

"Doing sequels are not my cup of tea, but they seem to be a trend now. More than me, Akshay was keen to do a sequel to Namastey London. He felt the story had the potential to be carried forward. I couldn't disagree with him beyond a point," says Vipul.

Once Vipul is done working on his John Abraham-starrer ‘Force’, ‘Namastey London 2’ will begin.
