As the season of Gokulashtami is around the corner, Akshay Kumar has decided to kick start the promotions of his forthcoming film at a Dahi Handi Festival in Mumbai.

Akshay will be present to encourage the crowd gathered at the Mandal to break the Handi. The trailer of his forthcoming film ‘OMG Oh My God’ will also be unveiled on this auspicious occasion.

Interestingly, the occasion is apt as Akshay plays the role of a modern day Lord Krishna armed with his superbike. Said Akshay, "I think Gokulashtami in a way is a sort of a sport in which a lot of strength and preparation is required to meet your goal.

And in the film, the Gokulashtami day is a turning point hence I couldn’t ask for a better day to launch the trailer of my film OMG My God".

On the other hand, a source close to Akki said, "Akshay is very excited to attend the Dahi Handi as he loves the spirit and enthusiasm during the festival and being a sporty person he loves how human pyramids are made."

Recently the musical masti of Dahi Handi was unveiled with the special track "Go Govinda" featuring Prabhu Deva and Sonakshi Sinha.

‘OMG Oh My God’ is the maiden venture of Akshay Kumar’s production house, Grazing Goat Pictures. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal and will release on 28th September, 2012.
