Akshay Kumar in remake of Punjabi movie?

The Khiladi acted in the remakes of popular Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu movies. Next Akshay Kumar is heard to be doing a Punjabi film that will be remade in Hindi.

If all goes well, Akki will be playing the lead in the remake of recent blockbuster Punjabi film ‘Jatt & Juliet’. According to sources, the rights of the film have been bought by ‘Khiladi 786’ producers - Himesh Reshammiya and Rakesh Upadhyay.

Released this June, ‘Jatt & Juliet’ was directed by Anurag Singh and starred Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa in lead. The film’s story revolves around two contrasting people who regularly cross paths in Canada.

While Anurag will be directing the Hindi version as well, the makers of the film however don’t want to divulge details about the cast. They maintained that currently they are readying the script and other production things for the remake.
