Akshay Kumar starts shooting for 'Thuppaki' remake

The much talked remake of Tamil hit ‘Thuppaki’ has commenced its first shooting schedule. Directed by ‘Ghajini’ famed A.R. Murugadoss (who also did the original), the film has Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in lead.

Wrote Akki on his micro-blogging site yesterday, "Started shooting my first film in the New Year, the Hindi remake of 'Thuppakki'! Would love to get your good wishes today."

With this action thriller the Khiladi teams up with Sonakshi for third time, after ‘Joker’ and ‘Rowdy Rathore’.

The Tamil versioned ‘Thuppaki’ featured Vijay and Kajal Agarwal (of Singham fame).
