There was once a time when everything in Bollywood was looked up to from down South. The trend seems to have gradually changed for the better, with many new talents budding in Kollywood, especially on the lines of creative story telling. As a result, a lot of Tamil movies have been taken to Bollywood through proper remake rights, making it clearly evident that Southern actors are making a lasting impression in the famed Bollywood, without actually donning the screen there. With trademark Tamil movies like 'Thupakki' and 'Ramana' currently in the re-making in Hindi, the latest to have drawn interest is Thala's 'Arrambam'.

We hear that Akshay Kumar has evinced interest in taking the film to Hindi audience, by remaking the script in the B-town. Though an official word on this has not yet been let out, an announcement is looked forward to, in the days to come. Meanwhile, 'Arrambam' has made director Vishnuvardhan, Ajith and the other stars happy, running successfully over the second week in packed houses all over the world.
