Akshay Kumar has got critical acclaim for his role of a geek turned spiffy astronaut Agastya Rao in Jaan-E-Mann.

He has been well appreciated for his portrayal of curly haired; soda rimmed glasses geek to perfection & provides the film one of the most memorable character in a very nuanced manner.

Besides his electrifying screen presence, Akki's thick goofy he-he-he laugh has struck a chord with the audience. He has played a role against type, deftly tackling an unconventional role.

The critics are raving about his performance in the film and critics all over are raving about his performance of a geek turned dapper nice guy in the film. In fact sources also say that Amitabh Bachchan & Shahrukh Khan personally called him in Dubai, where he is shooting for 'Welcome' and complimented him for his performance.
