Khiladi star’s chota Kumar has done wonders at this chotisi age…

Aarav, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s nine-yr son reported to have bagged Green Globe Foundation Award yesterday in New Delhi. Aarav won the honour for adopting a village without electricity and providing it with solar lanterns and he is said to be the youngest recipient of the award.

Aarav was awarded at the second edition of the Green Globe Foundation Awards organised by Wizcraft at a ceremony during the inaugural evening of the Delhi Sustainable Development Summit at the Taj Palace.

According to reports, the Awards have been instituted as a salutation to the efforts of organisations and individuals fighting climate change through their work in environment preservation and regeneration.

Unfortunately, Aarav’s parents were not with him for the event. Instead, were in Germany undergoing a course in hydrotherapy. Aarav’s beloved granny Dimple Kapadia had accompanied him.

Going behind the story, sources shared, “Last year, while watching a TV programme called Greenathon, Aarav had asked his father to adopt a village without electricity and supply them with solar lanterns and other energy-saving devices. Aarav has been taking a personal interest in the village and checks on the stuff himself before it is sent. He saves electricity and water at home. When he saw Avatar with Akshay and saw trees being cut down, he tersely commented, 'These human beings are very bad.'”

The jury was impressed by the involvement of Aarav in global warming at such a young age and decided to award him, added the sources.

It is heard that Akki’s honhaar beta had got the inspiration from our Pretty Woman Preity Zinta, who had taken part in the initiative earlier.
