The trend of ‘remixing’ old songs is at its peak. The latest to join the bandwagon is ‘Azhagana Ponnuthan, Adhuketha Kannuthan…..’ from MGR’s classic ‘Alibabavum Narpadhu Thirudargalum’.

The song would get a fresh lease of life in ‘Kattradhu Kalavu’, a film which has Alibaba fame Krishna, the younger brother of filmmaker Vishnuvardhan in the lead role. The number was recently filmed on Krishna and the hot and happening item girl Mumait Khan.

Says the film’s director Balaji, “the number was shot at a tent of Bombay Circus. Krishna and Mumait Khan took pains to ensure that they did justice to the chartbuster from the yesteryear blockbuster.”

Heaping laurels on Mumait, Krishna says, “Mumait has danced with many top heroes of Tamil film industry and Tollywood. She readily accepted ‘Kattradhu Kalavu’ offer which has a newcomer like me in the lead role. Her cooperation is commendable.”

‘Kattradhu Kalavu’ is produced by Talking Times, which has made ‘Alibaba’, the debut movie of Krishna. Shooting is going on in a fast phase. The film is expected to hit theatres soon.
