Arasatchi is cleared of all troubles and would see the light of the day, this Vinayaka Chathurthi. According to director Maharajan, who wielded the megaphone for the film, 'with the Madras High Court dismissing a petition filed against the movie's release, we are certain to release the movie this weekend'.

It may be recalled that the Madras High Court pulled up a Public Interest Litigation filed against the film by an advocate Kalidoss Wednesday. Justice N Dhinakar and Justice M Kalifullah said, 'though in our view we would be justified in imposing a cost of Rs 50,000 on the petitioner for coming out with frivolous petition, we do not propose to do so taking into consideration that the submissions of the counsel for the petitioner has entered the Bar very recently and is earning only Rs 500 per month, the Bench observed.

Maharajan said, 'the movie is though about an youth revenging nine persons who are cast as advocates. But nowhere the movie would tarnish the image of judiciary'.

The movie was completed long back, yet the controversy surrounding it prevented it's release. Now with all problems being sorted, it's certain that the movie would be released on Vinayaka Chathurthi day.

Besides Arjun and Lara Dutta in the lead, the movie has a huge star cast including Rahuvaran, P Vasu, M N Nambiar and Ponnambalam.

Music is being scored by Harris Jeyaraj.

'The movie would certainly click with the masses', he added.
