At the audio release of Kannada film ‘Kallara Santhe’ on Monday evening at The Bell Hotel in Bangalore speakers hailed the caliber of journalist turned director Ms Sumana Kitthur. Noted actor of Kannada cinema who is also producer and director Jai Jagdish felt director Sumana Kitthur is ‘Lady Puttanna’ (SR Puttanna Kanagal the doyen of Kannada cinema in direction – in his direction Jai Jagdish acted in many films). She is so strong and sure in getting what she wants he said. Actor Yash expressed deep felt happiness for being a part of this film team for two months. Director Sumana Kitthur was like teacher to me when I saw her giving detail instructions to lead actors said music director V Manohar.

‘Kallara Santhe’ is the second directorial venture of Sumana Kitthur a journalist director. The debut was ‘Slum Bala’ that was moderate in the box office and she is now focusing on the novel of noted writer, philosopher and editor Agni tabloid Sridhar’s novel ‘Edhegarike’. At the audio release of her film Sumana Kitthur thanked her ‘Guru’ Mr Agni Sridhar. The cinematography for ‘Kallara Santhe’ of Sundarnath Suvarna without Digital Intermediate looks so beautiful lauded Sumana.

It is for this film the story, screenplay and dialogues writer Agni Sridhar approached for the rights of all time famous children song ‘Bannadha Thagadina Thutturi…..had written by late GP Rajarathnam. On knowing every penny given to Rajarathnam family for acquiring rights is used for the education purpose of villagers Agni Sridhar magnanimously donated three times the amount he thought to give. We learn from such people. One person helping at least 100 persons would be a great service to this society feels Agni Sridhar who is the commander of all the three films – Aa Dinagalu, Slum Bala and now Kallara Santhe.

Music director V Manohar despite of having high reputation in music and lyrics felt that his music, songs are safe and secure. He compared his work to the Megha Movies to that of the snake that is around the neck of Lord Shiva. V Manohar hailed the lyrical strength of director Sumana Kitthur quoting a song.

Pattanagere Jayanna a Kannada activist released the audio album of ‘Kallara Santhe’. Sa.Ra.Govindu, Anand Audio Mohan and others were on the dais.
