DSP mark tunes

When it is Devi Sri Prasad, everyone has high expectations.  'Alludu Seenu' is an album that manages to dish out average music.

The lyrics come with flashes of creativity here and there and that's all.

The singers are ably assisted by DSP to steer clear of mediocrity.

Ori Devudo

Artists: Javid Ali, Suchitra
Lyricist: Chandrabose

With an apt picturization, this song can be exhilarating on screen.  DSP is at it again.  He comes with with a reasonably good number.  For a first in the album, the song may not be electrifying enough to listen but has its shades of DSP-ism.  The lyrics do not catch our attention the first time we listen to the song.  Javid Ali and Suchitra are at their vocal best.

Neeli Neeli

Artists: Karthik, Harini
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar

The lilting song has that unmistakable DSP mark on it.  This melodious romantic number has Karthik and Harini at their crooning best.  DSP marshalls his ability to embellish even an ordinary song with his remarkable imprint.  The lyrics are filled with meaning, though not extraordinary.  All in all, DSP is back with a modest bang.

Whatsapp Antu

Artist: DSP, Sharmila
Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry, Sharmila

DSP croons the song with his usual chutzpah.  The feel of the song welcomes him to be at his brimming self.  The song falls short of making an impact mainly because of its been-there-done-that feel.  The music director has basically recycled some of his old numbers to a boring effect.  The lyrics are creative with so much of trendy words thrown in.

Labbar Bomma

Artists: Sooraj Santosh, Ranina Reddy
Lyricist: Chandrabose

What is a DSP album without that quintessential item song?  So, DSP is back with a number imbued in his style of music and rendition.  Reasonably good when it comes to instrumentation, this is not DSP-ist enough.  Sooraj Santosh makes a mark with Ranina Reddy.  The lyrics are just about okay, with they fitting the bill.

Oho Bujji Konda

Artists: Jaspreet Jasz, Sharmila
Lyricist: Chandrabose

The song is enjoyable for the concept.  DSP peppers the song with lively music here and there, though it has no stamp of his on it.  The lyrics are catchy as they size up the situation quite well.  Jaspreet has that unique voice that can catch our attention.  All in all, this one is the album's unmissable.

Alludu Seenu

Artists: Simha, Priya Hemesh
Lyricist: Chandrabose

The title track comes at the end.  The lyrics are high on praise and a good tribute to Alludu Seenu, whoever he is.  Simha and Priya Hemesh give the song the much-needed feel.  DSP blends massy with class tune.  The lyrics rhyme and chime.
