It is a trend among music directors to make use of the actors` voice for their songs. Gopi Sunder is one such director who had tried it. Ratheesh Vega, the newgen music director is also not different. He made use of Mohanlal`s voice to deliver an evergreen melody “Attumanal Payayil” in Malayalam for the film Run Baby Run` which had Amala Paul as the heroine.
In Aadupuliyattam` he used the voice of Jayaram and Mamata Mohandas for a song. The latest is Amala Paul in the line to sing a song for the film “Achayyans”. She will be singing a fast upbeat number for the film. The film is directed by Kannan Thamarakulam.
Actor Prakash Raj will be singing a folk song for this film. It seems that Ratheesh Vega is not missing any option to use an actor`s voice in his films.
