We have earlier reported that the Tamil remake of Mammootty's 2015 Superhit 'Bhaskar The Rascal', will have Arvind Swamy doing the male lead. Now, the latest update is that Amala Paul will be playing the female lead. In the movie, Amala Paul will reprise the role of Nayanthara, who enthralled the audience with her single mother character.
Reportedly, Amala has signed the dotted lines and the movie is expected to start rolling by the end of March. The other interesting highlight is that actress Meena's daughter Baby Nainika has been cast as Amala's daughter.
Bhaskar The Rascal is about the life of Bhaskar, a business tycoon, a widower and a loving father. What happens when a single mother comes into his life forms the crux of the story. Mammootty played the title role while Nayanthara essayed the female lead character. The basic storyline of the remake will be the same as its original, but there will be small obvious changes to suit the Tamil sensibilities.
