Amitabh Bachchan to portray Sunil Dutt in Sanjay Dutt Biopic?

After super duper success of PK, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is now focusing all his energies into the making of the biopic on Sanjay Dutt, which according to Hirani is his most ambitious project.
While readers are aware that Ranbir Kapoor has been finalized to play the protagonist Sanjay Dutt in the film, the latest buzz is that Amitabh Bachchan is being in talks to play Sunil Dutt, Sanjay Dutt`s father in the movie.

According to a reliable source, close to Sanjay Dutt, no sooner Sanjay Dutt met filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani after coming out on a short vacation from the jail, he and Hirani had been deeply engrossed into mind storming sessions discussing the casting and other details to make the biopic as a powerful as Hirani`s other films, particularly his MUNNABHAI series and his two films with Aamir Khan 3 IDIOTS and PK.
The source reveals that when the casting was discussed both Sanjay Dutt and Hirani unanimously zeroed upon Amiatbh Bachchan as the most perfect actor to live the role of the legendary actor Sunil Dutt in the film. Sanjay Dutt who shares a cordial relation with the Bachchan family regards Abhishek Bachchan as his younger brother and Bachchan sahab as his father.
Interestingly readers would be delighted to know that when Amitabh Bachchan was struggling to became a star in Bollywood in the early 70`s it was Sunil Dutt who had shown trust in his acting potential and had given him an important role in his movie RESHMA AUR SHERA!
Incidentally Sanjay Dutt who was just a kid then had first interacted with Amiatbh Bachchan during the making of the same film. Little Sanjay Dutt had played a cameo in the film as a Qawali singer and that was his debut role as child star.
