Ammuvagiya Naan, directed by Padmamagan, features Parthiban and debutant Bharathi in lead roles. It boasts the story of a young woman, who takes to the world's oldest profession out of an affinity for the same.

Sabesh - Murali, after hit musical score in Thavamai Thavamirundhu and Koodal Nagar, are back to give their best. Lyrics are by Pazhanibharathy, Anbumani and Anand Dhinakhar. The impressive rhythm pattern, right choice of singers and mild use of musical accompaniments by the duo have impressed the listeners. There are only four tracks along with one number repeated in a different voice.

Silir Silir Silirkkuthadi (Srilekha Parthasarathy)

A perfect beginning by Sabesh - Murali. A lively song rendered by the enigmatic Srilekha Parathasarthy oozes with energy all through. With good accompaniment on the tabla and sitar strains, the song strikes the right chord in the listeners. The rhythm pattern is amazing.

Kadale Kadale (Sabesh)

Sabesh, besides composing the tune, has sung the number. It reminds one of the Ilayaraja's songs of early 1980's. Credit should be given to the music composers for coming out with an out of the box idea to begin the song with the sounds of a type writer. Flute, guitar and saxophone are used at appropriate places.

Unnai Saranadainthen (Harish Raghavendra, Kalyani)

Sabesh - Murali have yet again proved their mastery in coming up with soft melodies. They came out with romantic melodies in both Thavamai Thavamirundhu and the recent Koodal Nagar. The duet rendered by Harish Ragavendra and Kalyani is one of the best in the album. Influenced by a Classical raga, the song flows very smooth. Sabesh has a great passion for saxophone and he has used the instrument for this song too. Harish Raghavendra's voice coupled with Kalyani's modulations works out the magic.

Thoranam Aayiram (Sri Vidhya, Geetha and Deepika)

A racy song but laced with melodious accompaniments. Speaking about the lover couple, the song sticks to the heart instantly for the good use of nadhaswaram by Sabesh - Murali. The energetic rendition by the three singers is a major highlight of the song.

Kadale Kadale (Mathangi)

It is a repeat number. Mathangi replaces Sabesh this time. Her right pronunciation and the mild musical score enliven the proceedings.

All said Ammuvagiya Naan is a pleasing album sure to move the hearts of the listeners.
