Amy Jackson turned 21 yesterday. The lucky actress got to celebrate her birthday with the industry and family for which she is very grateful.

When asked her about her day, she said, "It was a working birthday for me. Last year, I was shooting in Mumbai, and even the year before, I was not home. And yesterday, I shot for my role in ‘I’ in the city. But my father has flown down to be with me. He’s got me lots of love and presents from my family and friends back home as well. I did nothing much on my birthday. I was shooting for most part of the day. I had plans of catching Vikram’s latest release as well. I had my father for company. He last came here when Madrassapattinam released. He’s been to Mumbai as well. And now, I’m showing him around the city again."

She went on to describe how it was to work on "I" with Shankar. "Working with Shankar has been a learning experience. I've seen his Robot (Endhiran), Jeans, and my dad is proud I’m working with one of the biggest directors here. My role in this film is quite different from the ones I've played in my previous ones. I've a lot of dialogues in Tamil, and I keep asking the unit to give me my dialogue sheets beforehand. Shankar always tells me what he expects from me before a scene, and Vikram, with whom I've worked earlier, helps me in getting my act together. This will be an important film in my career, and I’m sure to give it my best shot." When asked about plans of Bollywood she clearly stated, "I’m concentrating only on south industry as of now. I want to establish myself here first and only then will I branch out to doing films in other languages."
