Ananda Thandavam

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Telugu Comments

Aascar Ravichandran has been one producer who has come up with some of the grandest spectacles in his career but this time he seems to have chosen a rather emotional subject that would be presented in his trademark manner.

The film is `Ananda Thandavam' and this has the milk white beauty Tamannah as the heroine. She is pairing up with a newcomer Siddarth as the hero while another beauty Rukmini is making her entry as the second lead. The film is directed by Gandhi Krishna and he has the experience of working with big names like Shankar.

Ravichandran will be presenting this movie under his home banner Aascar films. The film is a bilingual and it will be released in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously.

This is slated to be a romantic treat but then there is going to be a twist in the tale that involves a bit of tragedy and also a new hope in the form of a new relationship. Also, there is an element of triangular love that is on the cards.

It is obvious that such tender movies must have good music and so Ravi has roped in the highly talented G V Prakash Kumar who wowed music lovers with his tunes in `Ullasanga Utsahanga'. Prakash happens to be the nephew of A R Rahman and he sure shows that streak.

The film is going to be an interesting one for Tamannah since it is heard that it is more of a heroine oriented movie and Tamannah will be driven more with performance and strong character than the regular lovey dovey roles and glamour show.

The art department has been taken by the maverick Thota Tharani and photography is by Jeeva Shankar. The title gives a good feel of joy and happiness so one hopes that the audience is treated to some light and tender romantic moments.
