The famous food of Karnataka especially in Mysore, Mandya and Hassan 'Muddhe' – Ragi Ball is the character name and it jells with the Gowda Community in the Karnataka state. Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda is referred to this name of 'Muddhe Gowda'.

With such a scenario director Indrajith Lankesh gives the same name for versatile actor Ananthnag in the film 'Dev' son of 'Muddhe Gowda'. I am very happy playing this role says versatile Ananthnag addressing the media on Thursday night at Gold Finch Hotel.

The role I play is 'Muddhe Gowda' but it has no reference to politics. I eat 'Muddhe' (Ragi Ball) and sheer hard work as construction worker, garment factory employee I come up in life to give the best for my son 'Dev'. Ananthnag says he had seen a strong maturity in stylish director of Kannada cinema Indrajith Lankesh. When I acted in his 'Indrajith Lankesh' in 2003 he was boyish. He has good ability today as a director. He has handled very difficult situations for this film without losing temper complimented the four decades veteran Ananthnag.

Ananthnag with respect to 'Meshtru Lankesh' one of the finest writers of Kannada literature and director of Kannada cinemas has agreed to act in his son movie. Accepting this film is also recollecting olden days for me says Ananthnag.
