Playback singer-turned-actress Andrea Jeremiah, one of the prettiest actress around, has recently forayed into the world of Malayalam films. Andrea has played a significant role in her latest Tamil film titled Endrendum Punnagai which released in Tamil Nadu and elsewhere last Friday (20thDecember).

Directed by Ahmed and co-starring Jiiva, Vinay Rai, Santhanam and Trisha and directed by Ahmed,EndrendrumPunnagai is has opened to 'good response' from the public, trade sources say. Meanwhile, it is reported that Andrea has committed herself to star in two Malayalam films whose shoot have already commenced. She is reportedly 'reinventing' herself by exposing as she had never done before.

Except for Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam, Andrea hasn't starred in any Tamil film so far this year. Her role in Endrendrum Punnagai, again a glam-filled one, is said to be one of the USPs of the film which has an 'ageing' Trisha as the heroine. Speaking about her 'glamourous' avatar for Malayalam films, Andrea says “I'm happy to be getting accolades for my role in Endrendrum Punnagai; I'm getting powerful roles and would star glamourously if the script demanded so.

“Once into films, an actress can't say that she would only take on particular kind of roles. At the same time, I won't act in an obscene manner and my glamour has its own 'Lakshman Rekha'. I have decided to take on substantial roles. I'm even ready to take on roles which give prominence to glamour; I have absolutely no qualms in doing so,” she concludes.
