Actress Anjali has played a cameo in filmmaker Ramsubramaniam's "Taramani", which features debutant Vasanth Ravi and singer-turned-actress Andrea Jeremiah in the lead.

"It was at the personal request of direct Ram that I accepted this offer. It's a role quite contrary to anything I've done lately," Anjali told. Anjali had previously worked with Ram in his critically acclaimed directorial debut "Kattradhu Thamizh".

Said to be a moody urban romantic saga, "Taramani" is jointly produced by Ram and JSK Sathish. The film, which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, is currently in its post-production phase.
