Fans in recent times have got used to seeing the glamorous Anjali in films like Kalakalappu` , Settai`, Singam 2` and the recent Sakalakalavallavan`. But her strength lies in doing roles of substance like Kattradhu Tamil`, Angaadi Theru` and Engeyum Eppodhum` for which she was well received by audiences and praised by critics.

Anjali's next release is Mapla Singam` with Vemal in which she again plays a rural glamorous character but in Karthick Subbaraj`s Iraivi` in which she is paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi, Anjali is said to have a meaty role which has very much scope for acting and insiders say that this will be one of the best characters she has portrayed till date.
