Producer laughs when the audience cries in the theatre, the old adage goes. And the musical success of the tear jerker "Anna Thangi" proves it more than right.

The top five Albums are:

1. "Anna Thangi": The audio cassette company is laughing along with the producer as sales of this album match those of "Jogi". Hamsalekha once again proves he is the best as far as sentimental films go.

2. "Jogi": Even six months after its release, the audio remains in the top five list. Over 800,000 cassettes have been sold. The title song and "Hodi maga" are still chartbusters.

3. "Amrutha Dhaare": Initially the film's music had a slow start but it caught on thanks to Mano Murthy's melodious tunes, which have boosted sales. Songs like "Mane katti nodu, Maduve maadi nodu" and "Huduga huduga" are hot favourites with music lovers.

4. "Sree": Valisha-Sandeep's music has slowly gained popularity and the audio company's publicity campaign played a major role in making it a hit album.

5. "Nenapirali": The audio's success has come as a morale booster to quality-conscious film producers. Hamsalekha has proved himself again.
