In an industry where legacies are valued, star sons remixing blockbuster songs and remaking films is an interesting proposition, never mind the fact that the latter don't see fructification. Ram Charan (Vana Vana, Shuba Leka Rasukunna, Bangaru Kodi Petta), Sai Dharam Tej (Guvva Gorinkatho, Andam Hindolam), Kalyan Ram (Arey O Samba), Naga Chaitanya (Oka Laila Kosam), NTR (Akuchatu) - the list of heroes who have reprised the songs of superstars belonging to their families is pretty good. The likes of NTR, Prabhas, Charan, Naga Chaitanya, Manchu Vishnu have been planning to remake one or another movie of their seniors, but to no avail.

The latest one to join the list is Roshan, better known as Srikanth's son. There is a buzz doing the rounds that Pelli Sandadi will be remade with him as the hero in the next year or so. Back then, Pelli Sandadi proved to be a game-changing film for Srikanth. At a time when wholesome family entertainers are badly missed by a section of the audience, this proposal will be welcomed. However, the question remains as to who has the capability to wield the megaphone and do full justice to the talent of K Raghavendra Rao..

Let's hope Pelli Sandadi's remake will kickstart curiosity around the remaking of a Gang Leader, a Githanjali, an Alluri Sitharama Raju, and so on.
