Famous director turns villain for Nayanthara

A few days ago, IndiaGlitz was the first to break that acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyam will be playing the lead villain in director Ajay Gnanamuthu's ''Imaikka Nodigal' that will have Atharvaa in the lead role.

Now the makers have officially confirmed the news and here it is:

Day by Day, the star cast of Imaikka Nodigal` produced under the banner Cameo Films by C J Jayakumar and directed by De'Monte Colony` fame Ajay Gnanamuthu is growing bigger and bigger. Following Atharva, Nayanthara and Raashi Kanna, The makers have now roped in: Bollywood's most acclaimed Director, the notorious 'Akira' villain Anurag Kashyap to play the antagonist in Imaikka Nodigal`. It is to be noted that this will be Anurag Kashyap's first Tamil film and Imaikkaa Nodigal` team gets all the credits for bringing this creative Giant to Tamil cinema. The announcement of this news has raised the expectations of audience to yet another level.

"No one can forget filmmaker Anurag Kashyap`s ruthless police officer's role in AR Murugadoss sir`s 'Akira'. We are very happy to have such a magnificent force on board our project. His character name is Rudra` in our film. Although he is a Villain, the role will be something, audience would have never seen in a Tamil thriller film." reveals Ajay Gnanamuthu. It is to be noted that Ajay has previously assisted A. R. Murugadoss in films like 7aum Arivu` and Thuppakki`.

Imaikak Nodigal` also has a strong technical crew with R D RajaSekar as cinematographer, HipHop Tamizha as music director, Bhuvan Srinivasan as editor, Selvakumar as Art Director and Stunt choreographer Dilip Subbarayan.

The film`s shooting is slated to commence by the middle of this month within that it has invoked huge curiosity in the trade circles and among the audience as well.
