As Anurag Kashyap's 'Ugly' garners positive reviews from all quarters, the director gets emotional as he remembers one of his actors, Abir Goswami.

For the records, Abir, who plays a police officer in the film, had an untimely death due to a heart attack. In fact, he passed away before the film was completed. When he passed away, part of the dubbing of the film was yet left. So Anurag Kashyap dubbed for him for an off screen voice sequence. Since most of the film was complete Anurag did the actor`s dubbing for a shot.

The entire team of the film is emotional as they remember their co-star and they are reminiscing the moments they shared with him. Abir was a brilliant and very convincing actor and his performance is being praised. So much so that, while shooting a scene, a real police officer who had come to the sets thought that Abir was his senior. He was thoroughly convinced by Abir`s act and could not believe it when he was told that Abir was actually an actor.

Besides getting acclaim at international film festivals, 'Ugly' has impressed critics and people from the industry.
