Appukutty's next is 'Mannaru'

Appukutty forayed into Tamil cinema through 'Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu' and debuted as a hero in 'Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai' that shot him to fame, what with the cast and crew having bagged a number of accolades internationally.


Now the latest is that, he will be doing his next film with debutant director Jai Shankar! The movie has been tentatively titled 'Mannaru' and it has Thambi Ramaiyya in a pivotal role as well. Apart from this playing a character role, Thambi Ramaiyya has also donned the lyricist and dialogue writer caps for this film!

'Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai' by Suseenthiran is based on a short story and proved to a breezy rural entertainer with a social message and was well accepted by critics and movie goers. Lets just hope Appukutty will grace Tamil cinema with another clean family entertainer through his next...
