Babu Sivan established himself as a commercial director after 'Vettaikkaran' and for his next film he approached Bharath with an action story. But it was a double role subject and so Bharath didn’t want to do it at this stage of his career.

Later Babu Sivan told the story to Arjun and the action king loved it saying it was his kind of story.

Arjun though liked the story hasn’t allotted immediate dates. Three of Arjun's films - Vande Matharam, Maasi and Mei Kaan - are still under production and Arjun will be able to come to Babu Sivan only after completing all of them.

Meanwhile an elated Babu Sivan says this film will be another 'Gentleman' in action king’s career.
