From today, Arjun will start working for 'Vana Yudham', a biopic on forest brigand Veerappan, to be directed by AMR Ramesh of 'Kuppi' fame. The film will be shot in dense jungles of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Says Ramesh, "Arjun plays the role of a police officer, while Kishore plays the sandalwood smuggler. Without taking any sides, I will present the real story. I have done intense research before penning the script."

To be completed in one go, 'Vana Yudham' will be released towards the end of this year. It is said that the character played by Ajrun is inspired on top police officer Vijayakumar, who played a crucial role in 'Veerappan hunt'.

'Vana Yudham' is produced by Akshaya Creations in association with Sai Sri Cinemas Pvt Ltd and S Lad Entertainment Pvt Ltd. Cinematography is by Vijay Milton, editing by Antony, stunts by Dilp Subbarayan and dialogues by Ajayan Bala.
