Arrest rumours about Saravanan

There were widespread rumours on Tuesday evening, claiming that actor Saravanan (of 'Paruthiveeran' fame) was arrested by the police for his alleged involvement in red sanders trade.

However, a clarification came from his publicist soon, that the actor was not arrested and he was busy shooting in Mudichur for an upcoming film.

Saravanan, who played lead roles in many movies in the 1990s, became a character artiste with Karthi's debut venture 'Paruthiveeran', directed by Ameer. He made the 'chithapu' role memorable with his casual performance.
