Director Bala's 'Tharai Thappattai' is getting ready to release in January 2016 as the post-production works are going on full swing. The film stars Sasikumar and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in lead roles with Ilayaraja scoring the music. The official announcement regarding the audio release and the film's theatrical release can be expected very soon.

Meanwhile, the maverick filmmaker Bala has started the initial works for his next film. It has been officially confirmed that the film will be a mega multi-starrer with Arya, Vishal. Atharvaa, Arvind Swamy and Rana Daggupati in lead roles. While Arya, Vishal and Atharvaa have already acted under Bala's direction, this will be the first film for Arvind Swamy and Rana under the highly reputed filmmaker.

Bala has also planned to start the shooting of this film at the beginning of next year.

Details of who will produce the film, other cast and crew members are yet to be revealed.
