Hansika Motwani's social service activities need no introduction. It is admirable that at a very young age, the actress has been an example for others. When she turned 20, she made news by deciding to fund the education of 20 poor children. A year later, she is back in news for adding two more children. (She celebrates her birthday on August 9).
Speaking from Mumbai, Seema Motwani says that her daughter's intention is to save children from Mumbai slums from the clutches of poverty. She is, however, not the guardian for the 22 children. They are looked after by their biological parents.
Hansika plans to set up an old age home in the near future.
The philanthropic endeavours of the star are commendable and worthy of emulation.
