Asha Sharath sets example to a pan Indian actress

Kamal Haasan starrer Papanasam` the Tamil remake of Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam`, that released last week is making good noise at the box office.. It is to be noted that the film has been already remade in Telugu and Kannada and registered success at the box office. Now the fifth version of the Drishyam` script will be out on July 31 and it will be the Bollywood remake of the film directed by Nishikanth Kamath with the same title

The film stars Ajay Devgan and Shriya Saran in the roles played by Mohan Lal and Meena in Malayalam. Pan Indian actress Tabu reprises the Police Inspector General role which enters into a conflict with the lead couple in the film.

Speaking in a Mumbai based FM channe; about the film, the Kandukondein Kandukondein` actress has said she did not follow any real life police officer to get her inspiration to play the role, as watching the performance of Asha Sharath in the Malayalam film was enough for her (Tabu) to pull of the role with aplomb.

Asha Sharath rose to fame with the way she performed the IG character in the original Drishyam` and she was retained for the same character in its Tamil and Kannada remakes. Today, Asha has become a household name in Tamil Nadu as her performance in Papanasam` is being appreciated by all those who watched the film. She is also retained by Kamal Haasan for an important role in his upcoming thriller film Thoongavanam`.
