How Karthi inspired 'Kootathil Oruthan' story

The trailer of Kootathil Oruthan` that released yesterday has garnered praise universally for its highly relateable theme of the average middle benchers in classrooms going on to achieve big in life.

At the trailer launch of Kootathil Oruthan` attended by Suriya and Sivakumar, the director of the film revealed that once when he interviewed Karthi the hero had told him that in his house, his elder brother Suriya was his mom`s favorite and the younger sister was dad`s favorite but him being the middle one everyone was neutral. Gananavel has said that Karthi`s words had inspired him to write Kootathil Oruthan` starring Ashok Selvan, Priya Anand and Samuthirakani.
