Despite the tragedy that befell this entire region, it's heartening to see the way the people of Uttarkashi have come to terms with it and life is once again normal. I am happy to be shooting here for the next two months after which we will move to Nepal."
NIM Principal Col. Ajay Kothiyal said, "Gangotri valley, post 2013 disaster, is today considered as a dangerous place, thus badly affecting the economy of the region. Mr Ashutosh Gowariker's plans to shoot for the television show here is not only going to be a major step in changing the image created in the environment, after the tragedy, but will also provide employment opportunity to the people from the area."
