These are times when heroines become brand ambassadors.

The case of young Asin is however different.

The Kerala girl who has come to Tamil via Andhra is now branded --- as an unlucky actress, that is. In a superstition-ridden industry that is a big stigma.

Her latest release M Kumaran s/o Mahalakshmi has not opened promisingly.

A couple of her films have also had to be shelved. Chief among them is Chennaiyil Oru Mazhai Kalam. The film was to star Surya and directed by Goutam Menon.But for various reasons, the film will not happen.

And so Asin's career is a crossroads.

The young actress does not seem to mind all the labels. She is just concentrating on her roles.

That is what professionalism all about.
