Asin has cushioned herself in the filmdom, reigning in both south and north screens. It is not only the films that are roping her but even big brands of endorsement sectors are cashing on her successful image. Only, but, one prestigious offer was received with the actress’s ‘no-no’. The organisers of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' (PETA) had approached Asin to be their brand ambassador but Asin who is a strict non-vegetarian rejected the offer. She said, “After I entered the film industry, I restricted my non-veg diet to fish and chicken. I can't, however, remain without non-veg food even for a single day. Therefore, it won't be proper for me to involve myself in the campaign against non-vegetarian food.”

So sad, that this Southern beauty grew on her coastal background of food habits. Else she would have joined PETA’s star league; where few actors like Aishwarya Rai, Manisha Koirala and Madhavan are on its celebrity list.
