Atharva is keeping his fingers crossed and is waiting for Pongal. For, Bala's 'Paradesi', which has the young actor in the lead, will hit the screens for the harvest festival early next year.

"I have done what Bala sir asked me to do. It is his film. But I am hopeful that it will do the much needed magic to my career," says Atharva.

After films such as 'Bana Kathadi' and 'Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal', Atharva is doing this period movie, which is set in pre-independence era.

In Paradesi, Atharva is playing a tea estate worker. Dhanshika and Vedhika are the leading ladies, while music, which is to be launched in the coming days, is by G V Prakash Kumar.
