Autonagar Surya comes at a time when Anoop Rubens is counted among the best musicians in the industry.  Since it is directed by a director of mellowed taste, the album was awaited by the discerning audiences from the beginning.

With all songs written by Anantha Sreeram, this album has got some very good lines.

The choice of singers lends the album a youthful and joyous feel.

Time Entha Raa

Artists: Vijay Prakash, Chorus
Lyricist: Anantha Sreeram

The lyrics are so evocative that this song is one of the best autobiographical songs written for a guy in love.  Anantha Sreeram's simple lyrics sound regular and poetic at once.  Anoop Rubens's tuning is impressive, the song grows on the ears.  Vijay Prakash's vocals are usually best.

Mancheli

Artist: Anoop Rubens
Lyricist: Anantha Sreeram

The song has a strong signature of Anoop Rubens.  It reminds one of some of his previous numbers.  The instrumentation is nimble and this is the biggest strength of the song.  Anantha Sreeram's lyrics come with an imprint of earnest feelings of a lover longing for his beloved girl.  A potential hit, the song's deficiency is its Gunde Jhaari feel.

Autonagar Brahmi

Artists: Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav, Anoop Rubens, Sai Charan, Amurtha Varshini, Pranathi
Lyricist: Anantha Sreeram

After that tribute by Pawan Kalyan to Brahmi in Panjaa, Brahmanandam has another entertaining number, not so much about panegyric, written for him.  Rendered by a range of singers, both professional and irreverent, this song supposed to be a comic relief.  Although the tuning is not catchy, one likes the lyrics.

Sura Sura

Artists: Chaitra, Anoop Rubens, Santhosh, Ramki
Lyricist: Anantha Sreeram

This romantic number is quite enchanting.  Anantha Sreeram's lyrics, as always, come with a dose of poetic quality.  Although one might wish that Anoop Rubens gave way for a better singer, the deficiency is offset by the other singers.  Anoop's music is adept.

Hyderabadi Biryani

Artist: Ritu Pathak, Chorus
Lyricist: Anantha Sreeram

The item song is not exactly a song we would have expected from a musician of Anoop's stature.  Barring the good vocals, the number doesn't live up to the standards of a memorable number.  That said, this seems to have a good theatrical potential going for it.  Ritu Pathak and Anantha Sreeram are the saving grace.

Ayudham

Artists: Deva Katta, Siddharth, Raghu
Lyricist: Anantha Sreeram

This short song is intense.  Perhaps, it is a running song.  Sreeram's pen emits some thought-provoking terms.

Theme song

Artist: Anoop Rubens
Lyricist: Anantha Sreeram

Theme song has long become a ritual in Telugu cinema.  This one is a regular theme song, yet one feels the film's mood and theme deserves a theme song of this temperament.
